Hanging Wildflower Arrangement

For my youngest daughter’s first birthday party, I decided to go with a wildflower theme. I had originally  planned to make a flower cloud, but quickly realized that it would require more time than I had to spare and decided to improvise. I was cleaning up my yard as I was thinking about this and saw a stick and it hit me…I could just create a giant flower mobile instead!  Here are the items you will need to make your own:

· a stick

· 10-15 stems of flowers

· a few spools of ribbon

· brown twine

The first step was to gather all of my supplies. I had twine and ribbon on hand and purchased the individual flower stems at Hobby Lobby 50% off. I ended up using only the individual stems and still had a few left over. I also separated the lavender branches so that they would be closer to the width of the other flowers.

I decided to use the larger stick and saved the small one for another project. If you don’t have access to a stick, you can always get a birch branch from your local craft supply store.

Look at these perfect little branches just waiting patiently to be used in a craft.

Next, I arranged the flowers and ribbons in an order I thought looked nice. Hopefully you won’t overthink this like I did!

I secured the ribbons and the twine with double knots around the branch and hung it with the twine and that was it! A pretty (easy) hanging flower arrangement.
