Birthday Candle Holder
Because I have a lot of trees on my property, there is no shortage of sticks, especially after a storm. I found this little fellow (along with about 100 more!) after the last big front that came through. I knew that for my daughter’s first birthday party, I was not going to do a “smash cake” and thought that this mini-candle holder would be perfect!
I started by putting stickers where I wanted the holes to be in order to make sure the spacing between them was even. I already had these glitter candles from Malibu candle, but you can get similar ones here. Once I got the stickers where I wanted them, I chose a drill bit that looked a little bigger than the candles (no, I didn’t measure…I just eyeballed it) and drilled the holes about an inch deep to ensure that they didn’t fall out.
I blew off all of the extra dust and placed the candles in the holes and it was complete! I used them for pictures, but ultimately decided that it was a terrible idea for me to light candles in front of a one-year-old, so I will be saving it to use for another occasion!
